'What's In A Name?' A Few Names of Anglo-Norman Aristocracy and Their Orbit

To Henry the Young King readers. Greetings!

Just a quick update on my progress. This coming month I will be travelling on the King's business (modern medicine does work wonders and thanks to it I will be able to stick to my original (albeit slightly altered and extended) itinerary). You may expect a full account on my return, but not until I meet two of my major commitments. This said, on the eve of my departure I would like to invite you backstage, so to speak, and acquint you with some of the behind-the-scenes work, which has led me to a few interesting discoveries (I will share with you in due course). Leafing through the pages of Henry the Young King oriented chronicles I have stumbled upon given names of his contemporaries that our modern tastes may find exotic, bizarre even. Today some of these names are rare vintage names, most are no longer in use (with only a few surviving as surnames). One name, in particular, may conjure up certain images, but for Henry the Young King Polish readers alone... I would elaborate, if I could, but I will find myself in quite a pickle, if I don't bid you farewell now. Thus, at the risk of sounding overly enthusiastic, I hope that this quick behind-the-scene sneak peek will pique your interest and you will share your own bizarre names experience (if you have one) in the comments below. Just for the sheer fun of it!
